(Closed) Candy buffet quantities needed?

Below is a pretty good article, with some ideas for making your candy buffet look a bit fuller.  I would probably have a few more items depending on your table size – the best buffets in my opinion are the ones with lots going on. 

As for how much, if you know what kind of container your guests will be putting the candy in, like small paper bags, you could fill one bag with candy similar to what you want and weigh it, and then multiply by 175 ( or the number of guests you think will take candy)  to get an idea of the total candy weight you should get. 

I’m also thinking of putting some other, non-edible decorative items (items that the guests will recognize are not edible) in a few of the containers at my buffet so that the table won’t look empty once a lot of the candy is gone.
