Do candy bars work out cheaper than DIY favors? I was thinking of buying little aqua boxes to match our colour scheme and filling them up myself with personalised hard boiled candies and putting the ribbons around the boxes myself. I think per person it might work out about $3 – $4 each. What do you think is more cost effective? I don’t know how much candy bars are.. I was thinking the boxes were a good way of lifting the room with colour which is why i’m leaning more towards the favors

I think it depends how much candy you buy, but I actually think on the norm individual favors are more cost-effective. For candy bars to look beautiful, you actually need a lot more candy than just the recommended 3 oz. per person, because that makes your jars look really bare. I would definitely lean towards the favor boxes, too…candy bars can be up in the $3-5 person range +, and I love the personal touch of the candies!

I am doing a candy buffet and it is costing me about $4 pp. And that is not including the big jars I bought. I even went the cheap way my colors are aqua, ivory, and brown so I am using lots of chocolate.

I was thinking about doing a candy buffet, but it became too complicated so I am giving out an edible favor maybe donuts from this well known place where we are from or candy apples since it’s a fall wedding.
