I like the idea of a popcorn bar, but i don’t like the idea of the whole room smelling like a movie theatre. That scent (while totally delish) tends to permeate clothes and air. Top your own cupcakes sounds really messy. I think I would just stick with candy.

The cupcakes will be super messy. Popcorn sounds great! I’m having a small popcorn machine for late night dancing snacks.

If you have a lot of drinkers, I think the popcorn would go over well!  People usually want salty snacks when they drink.  I agree, cupcakes sound messy.

As someone who loves popcorn, I would be so excited to see some popcorn at a wedding reception!

I don’t care for popcorn- so I voted candy.

I wanted to do “make your own caramel apples” with allllll the toppings you can think of.. Now that is messy!! haha I voted candy because I personally don’t like popcorn or the smell.

A popcorn bar sounds amazing! I haven’t heard of anyone doing that and I think it’d be really fun!! I would be a little worried about the smell because it can be really overwhelming but I love the idea.

I prefer the candy buffet. How many of your guests have actually seen it done outside of the internet? Chances are, very few if any, unless they go to weddings every weekend.

Popcorn needs to be cooked on the spot or else it will taste stale, which not many people like.

Oh my…a popcorn bar?? I need to see pictures of this.  It’s more likely that your guests have never seen a popcorn bar too.

There is a place in Columbus, Ohio where they have all sorts of flavors of popcorn. They have zesty flavors and they also have fruity flavors. Do you have some place like that in Wisconsin or maybe you could order something like that online, so that way you have all sorts of flavors.
