I’m not sure what you else you could do. I’m not into the favors idea overall (I think it’s a waste). I think the cookies and candy bar would be over kill for some people given you have cupcakes, pies, etc. I on the other hand wouldn’t mind since I’m into sweets but not a lot of people are. The mason jars, are something they can reuse for something but I’m not sure other people would agree. Sorry I can’t be of help, I’m not sure about the amount of guests, the audience, and your budget to help out.

Cookies! I am really picky about candy…and I HATE chocolate so I would hate a chocolate candy bar (although I know I am pretty much alone in hating chocolate haha). I would like having a mason jar to take home, but you might want to find a way for them to be cleaned out after people use them…I wouldn’t want to take home a mason jar that had been used and smelled like milk or alcohol or whatever was in there earlier in the day. Then again I just got a new car so I am picky about stuff like that.

Nix the favors. You are already doing a desserts bar so most the options = sugar overload. I’m also with you about the mason jars people not caring about.

but i think it’s a cute idea… Mason Jars with cookies inside and have 100 of those ( if that’s your guest number) wrap a little ribbon thing around the lid with your wedding date and each can take one home…i would love to take home a jar with cookies…thanks you gave me an idea lol

I voted for other because I feel favors are totally not needed. It’s an unneeded expense. As a guest, I never expect them nor really want them. I’d say save your money and put it elsewhere.

We are doing little jams of homemade jars that are also doubling as our table placecards.  My aunt is making them and I’m helping to decorate them!

I would never take a mason jar home, personally.  But I also don’t think favors are necessary.

WE found the handled mason jars for around a dollar at a farm supply store so they were more “cup like” that people would drink out of and tied twine with a wooden heart with our initials stamped on it. That wya, they can untie and use again. it also cut back on cup rentals and we will have our wedding koozie in it. the one thing i will say about cookies is that a wedding i went to this past weekend, all their cookies were eatten halfway through the wedding because people were taking them out of the huge bucket near the entrance!
