I think you’ll have more people who like chocolate than people who will like hard candy (like jolly ranchers) or overly sticky, chewy candy.  The nice thing about edible favors is even if someone doesn’t like chocolate or cookies or whatever, there will likely be another guest willing to take it off their hands instead leaving it on the table – a person can only have so many coasters, tiny picture frames, key shaped bottle openers, etc.

Most people I know prefer individually wrapped items like Hersheys Kisses or Lindt truffles because they get grossed out about how many times it may have been handled before and the sanitary conditions.

anabolina :  Meringues are perfect for those beautiful boxes. Plus, they are so light!

I would do prewrapped candies, just for the sake of if it get’s warm, and they melt, that will be a mess with those boxes. Or even holding them with your hand or lap, the heat transfer might cause melting.

I agree that most people will prefer chocolate over non chocolate candies.

If it were me, I would do a mix of chocolates in each one. I think a variety (not all just dark chocolate, but a mix of milk/dark/white/nuts/etc) of hershey’s kisses or dove or ghiradelli would be nice.

WereW doing jelly beans in our wedding colours – is there something that comes wrapped in your colours? It helps it it together, and also adds to the decor on the table!

anabolina :  My sister found boxes almost identical to those for my bridal shower.  She put silver Hershey kisses in them and they were a bit hit.  I agree that most people prefer chocolate over non chocolate candy.

People who don’t like chocolate easily find people who do to regift it to.
