I think the second dress is much nicer. The first one is rather bland.

@jenpritchard86: Both dresses are lovely by the way!. It’s a pity the lighting on the second is not that great but I really do appreciate the lines, layers and contrast in the second dress (it sort of ups the anti versus the standard status quo). Question is, which dress is more bridal and suits your venue or simply saying is more you? I can see both dresses being used for different venue’s or destinations/purposes.

Quick question – what are the brands for both dresses?

I prefer the second dress, I actually like that the ruching is a little bit different. And the colour’s divine.

I think I like the first one better, but they’re so similar and both look really good on you, so you can’t really make a bad choice!

I think the 2nd one is more expensive for a reason – it looks it. The first one isn’t really “special” the way the 2nd one is. Your Bridesmaid or Best Man is right – the 2nd one is more “unique” for such a simple, classic type of dress.

It could be the angle of the picture, but I think the 2nd dress is more flattering, as well. I would go with dress #2. I love the color and I love that extra piece of fabric everyone else seems to not like – I think the 2nd one screams “couture” whereas the first one does not.

I like the ruching, sash, and skirt of the second dress. However, I agree with the others about not liking the extra piece of fabric on the skirt, so I prefer the skirt of the first dress. Just realized that that probably doesn’t help much. Lol sorry. You look fantastic in either and really can’t go wrong.

@jenpritchard86:  To be honest, though they are gorgeous dresses, I’m not a fan of either of them on you.

Don’t get me wrong, they make your curves look amazing, but I’m not a fan of what they do for your top half.

Your shoulders are quite a bit wider than your hips, and for that reason I think you need a dress with a fuller skirt to balance out the shoulders. Or a dress of the same fullness as what you’ve got now, but that flares out from your hips rather than your thigns. Right now I just think you look top heavy.

(I wouldn’t go a natural waist dress – still drop waist or fit and flare, because you need to show off that tiny waist and great hips and curves).

Or this Mori Lee

Or this Maggie Sottero

@jenpritchard86:  That’s your dress honey and you know it! I actually like that piece of fabric in the front its unique. You don’t want to go with a “safe” dress. You want to go with the one you love and that dress I know you love!

@jenpritchard86:  The second one makes you look taller. I think where the first one hits you isn’t as flattering.

The second dress is my dress and I love that extra piece of fabric hanging down. Good luck they both look great on you!
