I have been trying to get in contact with the catering manager at the westin colonade in coral gables for the past week. I already missed out on my first choice friday in september of next year because she didnt respond to my emails or calls for a week. Now I have given her another date and have not heard back from with with a contract OR to let me know if that date is available…time is winding down i want to get this deposit to them so i can have my date and relax for a little bit!!!
I have started contacting other venues because i dont want to have all my eggs in one basket however I REALLY REALLY WANT MY WEDDING HERE!

no, I am planning the wedding fron denver, ny fiance is in the air force so I am staying with my mom in lingo until he gets orders!
I have left messages, and multiple emails, not sure what my options are at this point except to wait..but if i wait i might miss out on my date, or i can choose another venue but my heart is so set!

Go above her head if you have to- call the hotel and ask to speak with the general manager.

I dunno, if they are so slow NOW I would hate to think what will happen when you DO book your wedding there…
Do you have an alternative? One that might actually respond to you?
I actually took a venue out of the running when I got 2 different emails from 2 different people regarding questions of the venue…I do NOT want an unorganized venue for my wedding….

Honestly, if they aren’t dealing well with you before they have your money, i wouldnt expect it to be any better once they have the deposit. I would be running for the hills….

I agree-pick another venue. I would also write a letter to the Groomsmen pronto stating what happened and the service you received.

I would phone the general manager. It is a concern that you willhave to work with this person, but perhaps she/he won’t be there much longer.

thanks ladies, spoke to the manager apparently their system was down so she couldnt respond to my emails! Everything is alright now, … The actual manager of catering has been out on vacation for two weeks and the girls they left in charge really were not helpful (clearly)
