My wedding is 12.31.2014 and time is running out. The picture down below I keep on oogling and need to find a way of duplicating this dress.
I could buy some sort of lace long sleeved v-neck short dress and add tulle and pickups to the gown to try and achieve this look. Has anyone had any success adding tulle to a plain dress?? Or any other suggestions. I’m 100% in love with this dress/look since we are having a non-traditional wedding.

ethnictresses: yikes! Time crunch. Find a short dress or top that is lacey and add an Alexandra Grecco tulle skirt? Her skirts aren’t quite the same shape but will give you that light airy look!

BHLDN have two tulle skirts also. You could wear them over short BHLDN dress.
(I was half thinking of doing this myself)

Yes there is a time crunch factor but I have a great seamstress near me who used to do alterations in NYC for Broadway plays…so I’m not too concerned about that:)
Never thought of searching for tulle skirts….that is an awesome idea! Thanks bride2bebe and jofits!

ethnictresses:
Just a heads up you won’t have time to order a dress from a traditional store anymore designers take 5-8 months for making the dress and delivery. So I would start going around to stores and see if the will let you buy a sample off the rack, also a few designer but not many will have some dresses premade in the warehouse a boutique maybe able to get to you. BHLDN or high end fashion stores may be a good option because they will probably be really quick. The only other wedding dress designer I know of who does a rush is Da Vinci bridal, but you are still pushing it with your timeline.

I was also going to suggest BHLDN. They have some beautiful dresses and might be able to get them to you quickly. Here is another suggestions: buy one of these amazing tulle skirts and put it over a lace top of some sort! http://space46boutique.com/collections/essentials/products/the-wendy-blush-43-length
