@nambi_pambi:  Wow! That’s quite a difference of opinion. Maybe you can find some sort of halfway point like a pretty lake in a moderate climate? You could check out some State Parks in the US, maybe? There are a few that are great for destination weddings and not as pricey as a resort.

Did he say WHY he wants the Yukon?

I see you are a fellow Canadian, so you must know this already…

BUT ya, the Fishing is awesome in Western & Northern Canada…

Beach weather in November (your WBee Profile W-Date) not so much.. lol

Belize sounds great.

Closer to home…

The Florida Keys (where Mr TTR & I Eloped to) also could be a good contender for both of you.  Islamorada is the Sport Fishing Capital of the World !!  So he could fly-fish as well as try his hand at some other interesting types of fishing as well

Wikipedia – Islamorada = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamorada,_Florida

Florida Keys Tourism = http://www.fla-keys.com/islamorada/fishing.cfm

The Keys are surrounded by an incredible reef… which makes for excellent Scuba & Snorkelling as well.

BUT it means that they don’t have oodles of sandy beaches (some really nice ones on many of The Keys / Islands including the islands of Islamorada … just not miles and miles of beach)

Plus it is a GORGEOUS Destination… and you could also spend a few nights in Historic & Fun Key West.

The other advantage is it will be generally cheaper as it is a US Destination… and you won’t have to contend with long flights

I recommend flying into Fort Lauderdale vs Miami… Miami is a smidgen closer… but it is a crazy airport & city.  Then rent a car and drive down into The Keys (one of the most scenic drives in the USA… The Overseas Hwy)

Anyways, I hope this helps (some)

PS… If you have any more Questions about The Keys just ask… definitely a favourite Destination for Mr TTR & I

To @nambi_pambi:  lol, Mr TTR & I are older and Encores…

Fortunately, we were blessed with being able to combine a lot of time off into one bigger amount (35 Days) made up of Christmas Holidays – and Vacation / Time Off.

This for us turned into the Trip of a Lifetime… we combined it all… Christmas Trip – PreWedding Trip – Wedding – and Honeymoon

1 Province – 14 States – and 8 Countries… it was amazing !!

We did compromise on some aspects.  Mr TTR is a music nut, he wanted to spend at least a week exploring Southern Music Destinations (Country – Rockabilly – Memphis Soul – Delta Blues – Jazz – Zydeco)

That was his thing… altho I liked it too.

What was important to me was we got to enjoy our long-ago pre-booked Caribbean Cruise and throw in some pampering hotel stays into the mix as well

All-in-all… No Regrets… the Honeymoon was AWESOME !!

@This Time Round:  Islamorada is GORGEOUS! There’s a Boy Scout retreat down there where my FBIL worked last summer. The pictures he took are amazing. We were going to spend a few days down there when we went to pick him up, but then Hurricane Isaac hit and they had to evacuate. We went to Disney World instead.
