So we are getting married in 4 months, and we are a young couple and we could really use any extra money we can get after the wedding, and I know I could get about $500 for my wedding dress (which could buy the couch we desperately need), but I am really struggling with if I would regret selling it, but I also cant imagine what I am going to do with it! Please give opinions!! (also its a maggie sottero dress and I have already seen several girls wanting to buy it used so I know seliing it wont be an issue)

If it’s not a dress you can wear again. SELL THAT BABY! Don’t look back. You’ll have PLENTY of beautiful pictures of you in the dress. Better to have the couch than have a dress taking up space in your closet.
People used tokeep their dress for their daughters, but no one wears their mother’s dress anymore.

For what it’s worth, I know that some women are super attached to their wedding dresses, but I am not one of them. I rented my dress and was happy to give it back the next day because it got dirty. I didn’t have to worry about getting it cleaned or figuring out what to do with it!
I have friends who bought gorgeous dresses and mean to get it cleaned and preserved (for $300-$500) but never get around to it. Then years pass and they have a dirty dress in their closet.
If you can sell it and use the money, I think you should go for it!

I think it will be easier for you to make a decision after your wedding. Before my wedding, I never dreamed I would want to part with my dress, but after my wedding, I’m actually much more open to the idea, although it would have to be for the right price.

@Tangled: This is so true! Thanks for the insight, selling is what I have been leaning toward, but then I keep second guessing myself.
