- Wedding: August 2013
Hello! I could use some advice.
Our ceremony and reception will be at the same place – a big old giant estate and farm. The wedding will be in July and where I am that means the sun will be setting around 10pm. I believe we will have a short ceremony, maybe 15-20 minutes? 30 minutesmaximum. Afterwards we will be offering coffee and cocktails with dinner being served later.
This is the timeline I was thinking:
3:30 – ceremony
4-6 – cocktail hour (lawn games, socializing and photos will happen here)
6 – sit down for dinner
6:30 – dinner is served
8 -dessert & speeches
8:30-whenever – dancing
I would also ask the photographer to come maybe around 2pm to take getting ready, first look, and some bridal party/ bride and groom photos to cut down on the post ceremony photos. How does that sound? Any tips or ways you think it should be tweaked? What time is a good time to serve dinner (is 6 too early?).
Thank you so much! And excuse the iPhone crazy typos…
