- Wedding: February 2013
We are having a winter themed wedding and I know that the prelude song (when parents and special guests are seated and honey bee enters with the officiant and his guys) will be Once Upon A December from the movie Anastasia (Listen on Youtube) but without the long vocalization section.
I also know that the recessional is going to be Brighter Than The Sun by Colbie Caillat (Listen on Youtube) I know it’s not wintery but I wanted something that was upbeat and says “yeah we’re in love let’s celebrate!”
Now the tough part I cannot decide if I want the processional to be The Shaker Song (Simple Gifts) from Appalachian Spring Ballet (Listen on Youtube ends at 3:00) which is actually quite perfect, trumpets for the entrance of the ring bearers followed by the gentle melody for the flower girl and a big finish for my entrance, or if I want use Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing by Aerosmith (Listen on Youtube I’d probably enter around 2:16 and fade out around 2:39) which has a classic orchestra feel with a mix of modern rock and awesome lyrics. I think this song is positively epic! While I am traditional I also want my wedding to be memorable and unique. I just don’t know…HELP!
