I have recently discovered that I cannot eat white wheat flour. I bloat like a balloon and it HURTS! I puff up grossly and have gas. Yuck.
I’ve discovered that I can eat good-quality sourdough wheat bread without issues, and whole wheat in moderation seems to be fine, too. But if I eat a lot of white bread, or cheap white pasta, or tomato soup thickened with flour, or white crackers, then I regret it for hours. It sucks but I guess it’s for the best because white wheat flour is so bad for you!
It’s annoying, being semi-gluten-intolerant or whatever I am. But I can eat spelt flour, which acts a lot like wheat flour and tastes better!
Do you have the same problem? What happens to you when you eat white flour/wheat?
