Although I was definitely showing at 14 weeks (OK I had a tummy pooch before pregnancy!) I wasn’t able to feel where my uterus was definitively until about 22 weeks.  I wouldn’t be worried if your doctor didn’t see any reason to be.  Next time you go in, ask if your doctor can show you how to feel for it.  Or if you’re worried, call and ask if someone can step you through what you should be feeling.  When I did feel it, it wasn’t what I expected.  Good luck =)

Tilted Uterii Unite!!!!! I was in the same boat. I wouldn’t worry too much. You’ll get there.

@araneidae:  Be careful what you wish for, lol.  I felt the same way at first, I didn’t “feel” pregnant, although I assuredly was.  Then the morning (make that all day/all night) sickness hit, along with boob soreness, having to pee every ten minutes, and eventually waddling like a duck.  Um, enjoy this stage while it lasts, because it won’t last long.   😉

@araneidae:  I always had a tough time feeling my uterus and I don’t think it was even until it was at my belly button or above that I was sure that was what i was feeling. I also had very few pregnancy symptoms in the beginning and have been blessed with a relatively easy pregnancy. Be patient! one of these days you will just pop. only a few more weeks till you can see your little peanut on an ultrasound and be able to feel him/her move around! greatest feeling ever! When is your next appointment? I remember hearing the heartbeat every appointment was the most amazing thing – it really helped me calm my worries. Investing in a home doppler may not be a bad idea but I’ve also known people to become obsessed with it and can be scary if you can’t find the heartbeat right away. Sometimes babies like to hide from it.

At 14 weeks it would JUST be starting to crest over your pubic bone. You might be able to feel it, but only a very small portion of it.

I couldn’t feel mine at 14 weeks either. Now at almost 16 weeks I’m pretty sure I can feel it, but I still don’t know.

I know what you mean, though — I am impatient to start really showing. I think I’m showing, but no one else can tell.

Every women is different. Those Apps are just meant really to be a “guide”. Your body and baby could develop differently then another woman that is just as far along. I would trust your doctor, if she dosn’t seem all that concerned then I don’t think you should worry. If you still are, then ask her more about it the next time you go in for an appointment. You will get that bump eventually, trust me I was told I was really tiny by some and worried as well, but I am in my third trimester now and my baby is doing great.

If it helps, my doctor can feel my uterus without issue but I can’t find the blasted thing myself.

I didn’t know I could feel my uterus yet (15w1d) but at my appointment today my doctor showed me it and made me press so I could see and she said I’m measuring more as 16 weeks which doesn’t surprise me, my 12 week ultrasound had me pegged at 13 weeks.

Ask your doctor next time, to show you. Or could be tilted a little away.

Well, I have no idea what my uterus is supposed to feel like, but my doctor assures me it’s in the right place. I feel like my belly has only just started to firm up these past few weeks (I’m 19 weeks) – at 14 weeks, it still felt pretty squishy and I was barely showing. At 16 – 17 weeks, my bump started to become more obvious.

I also haven’t had many typical pregnancy symptoms, and baby is doing just fine. I think you’re ok. 🙂
