Sorry if this has been done before but I am really struggling to find a wedding band that looks good with my engagement ring. I sort of have my heart set on a band with diamonds but have tried all sorts of styles andwhey just don’t look right. A plain platinum band looks nice but I was hoping for a bit more bling.
If you have a ring like mine please can you show me your wedding bands and how they look together. Or if you have any ideas I would be grateful for your expert opinions!

Have you considered a channel set baguette ring? Something like this:

@ElbieKay: This! I was thinking the same thing – it would really compliment your ring.

Im a big fan of horizontal baguette eternity bands!

My ring has baguettes as well and was having issues finding a band. Have you tried a band with horizontal baguettes with alternating round stones? Its a style that is readilly available I think. It would match well. I’ve seen it done in a prong setting also,
I’m referring to this style: http://www.amazon.com/Diamond-Wedding-Baguette-Channel-White/dp/B006Destination Wedding5HQQ/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1338548688&sr=8-11

Thanks guys, have tried the horizontal channel but it didn’t seem to sit right, maybe it was more to do with the fit? I guess it needs to be as high as the baguettes in my e ring.
Quite like the look of the one with the alternate round stones, have seen them online but never in a shop. If anyone has this combo I would love to see a picture to see how they look on your finger
Its really difficult as I think my ring is fairly simple and most bands that I have tried apart from the plain either seemed too fussy, too dainty (making my e ring look chunky somehow) or took away from my centre stone
Thanks again for the advice and suggestions

Gorgeous ring! Love it!! It really depends on the style you want.
I went searching for several styles that I think would look beautiful with your ring. I like the symetry of rings on both sides of the e-ring, so I found a lot of wraps. I don’t know if you looked at those or not, but some times that’s what throws the look off to the eye. When we were shopping for my wedding band, I was looking at baguette bands, and nothing ever looked quite right until I tried it with a wrap.
Something like this would look nice with your ring.
This is what first came to my mind when I saw your ring…
Here’s another one that would look nice…
ETA: Oops! posted this before I saw your comment about rings looking fussy with it… Some of these won’t work if that’s how you’ve been feeling when you’ve looked at rings!

There was a band I had been looking at that had alternating round and emerald cut stones, it was 1/2 and eternity and I think it would look great with yours!

@Loribeth: Wow thank you! I actually really like some of those, I think you have hit the nail on the head regarding the symmetry as I do like everything to be symmetrical so maybe a wrap is the way to go. Will definitely save some of these pictures for my ideas. just wish I could try them on ….

@LazyDaisy: I’m glad you liked some of them! I know the symmetry really turned out to be the biggest issue for me. Everything else just looked wrong to me. It just looked like it was missing something with the wedding band on just one side. My ring is a wrap, and I love it. My e-ring just sits down in it, and when it’s on my finger, they feel like one ring–no spinning separately from one another.
Jewelers usually have a lot of wraps in stock, so you could try some one with your ring. Print the pictures of the ones you like and take them to a jeweler. Then they’ll know what you’re kind of looking for. If they don’t have them or something similar, they have catalogs that they can order something in for you to try. You do NOT have to buy it before you try it, because they can just add it to their stock or send it back if you don’t like it.

I have a newer “vintage style” round and baguette ring that has pave side stones on the sides of the shank and it took forever to find a band I was happy with.
I finally did though. I managed to find a smaller width pave band that actually goes well with my ring. Not the greatest picture and please excuse my hair knuckles lol.
I didn’t want to show off my horrible nails since I know I desperately need a polish!

@LazyDaisy: What did you finally choose? I have the same ring, and have found several styles but I am not sure which to choose yet.

Don’t know if you are still looking, but my engagement ring looks just like yours. The only problem with my band is you can never wear it by itself, but I don’t think I would do that anyway.
