- Wedding: November 2011
I am a bridesmaid in July and we have fuschia knee length dresses and were told we could pick any champagne shoes. I am getting married in November and was planning on having my girls do champagne also but as I have found out “champagne” can mean a lot of things so I am switching to nude for them. That being said I still need my own pair of champagne shoes for my friend’s wedding. Before you start posting links thinking I am crazy for not being able to find any because they are everywhere I have a few “musts” which will make it a bit more clear why I can’t find what I am looking for.
1. Due to arthritis in my ankles/feet I can’t wear more than an inch or inch and a half heel, normally I would go with flats but since this is a knee lenght dress and I am only barely over 5’1” I need all the help I can get to not look super short. (I love wedges because they are a bit easier on my ankles)
2. Due to above mentioned disease also affecting my toes I also will not wear any type of open-toed shoe to a fancy event, this includes peep-toe.
3. Lastly, I really don’t want to spend a fortune on shoes for this one day. I have quite the shoe collection so while I will wear them again it won’t be often. Under $50 would be nice, closer to $25 or less would be amazing!
It amazes me what I find on this site so I am hoping someone can work their magic for me!
Also, I do have a pair of wedge shoes I love that are a turqouise color, if anyone has any idea how I could paint them or cover them in chapagne glitter or something that would solve my problem too. I don’t even care if it permanently ruins the shoes as my dog already has done that for me… so they are getting tossed soon anyway. I figured if I could somehow cover the dog teeth marks and get the color I needed if only for one day then it would be totally worth the experimenting.
Thanks for your help!
