*sigh* I have gone to 7 bridal boutiques,,tried on more than what seems like 100 dresses, fell in love with ONE dress that was 1. over my budget..2. not the most flattering in terms of material for my weight and body shape (all lace). that was the only time I had the “this is the dress I want” moment because it was such a beautiful dress..It was this one but in a slight A line design
I especially love the lace netting in the back..I dont know what its called
but in general, I have managed to recognize what suits my figure and what doesnt. I am pear shaped ( 8 top 12 bottom). Ball gowns look TERRIBLE…A line or A line+drop waist work well, as well as assymetrical designs. So I LOVE lace and HAVE to incorporate it into my look, and since I cant wear a fitted lace dress, or an A line lace dress either (they dont look that great on me I promise) I figured Id go for tafetta with a lacy tule underlay like this Anjolique dress
Now here comes my question, do you know of any other dresses with a similar design? or do you have any recommendations on how I could incorporate lace into the look?

I’m in the almost exact same situtation! I want lace, but none of the lace dresses look just “right” on me, but I just tried on Maggie Sottero’s Jovi dress…
The peek-a-boo opens up to lace. I’m a street size 14 and this dress does amazing things for my shape.
Also, try the JSM 1103, it’s a Maggie Sottero and Midgely, and might be perfect for you!
Here’s some pictures of me in the Jovi (the sample size was 2 sizes too small, the ladies will not be hanging out like this at the wedding!)
