Do you have to use the stage? I would ask to use a smaller table and put it in front of the stage.

I didn’t have a sweetheart table or a head table.  We just sat at a normal table, with my sisters & his sons.  I personally would not have wanted to be up on a stage, but that’s just me.

Can you use it for something else?  Like the cake or a TV with a photo slideshow or something?  We hardly spent any time at the table, during dinner we were visiting all the guest tables.  In which case your parents may look kind of lonely sitting up on stage by themselves most of the night.  I know my parents had friends and family coming in from out of town that they wanted to sit with, so I don’t know if they’d appreciate being up on a stage instead of enjoying the dinner with people they haven’t seen in a while.

I like the idea of using it as a gift/cake table. That’s so weird that they “can’t” move it. We are planning on sitting at a regualr round table with our bridal party and their SOs.
