I dunno maybe the curls cooled before she pinned them or her iron wasnt hot enough.

Was your hair freshly washed?? Dirty hair holds a curl better.

@madymommy24: ah that might be where your problem is! Try not to wash it for for 2 days before. the oils in the hair help it stay better.

I wanted you to know- you are not alone! I have the straightest hair in the world. I want a hollywood glam curls hairstyle for my wedding. Next time I have my hair cut I am going to ask my stylist for suggestions- maybe you can do the same.

My hair is baby fine, and I’ve always had issues keeping a curl too. My solution is

1. Redken spray starch. Spray it on each section before curling with an iron, and the curl will actually stay. (then spray with hairspray) <2>2. Clip in extensions. The hair’s texture holds a curl amazingly well all evening, unlike my own hair. So even if my hair starts uncurl, the extensions still maintain the look.

Hey,

My hair doesn’t hold curl either……but I just bought a curling iron last night…….it was one of the ones without a clip thing….you basically just wrap the hair around it and hold……and it’s AMAZING! If you utube it, you can find out that I mean!

Try with you hair dirty…but mine will not hold a curl from a curling iron/hot rollers no matter what. But my straightner will curl it and it will hold for days at a time with no product. Even on clean hair, and 99% humidity. My hairdresser taught me how to do it and I love it.

I use a 1″ straightener with a High heat setting. Then if I want just a flip, I straighten as normal and flip the straighener about 4 inches from the bottom and pull it through. For ringlets, I flip it at the very top of my hair and pull it straight through. Like scissors on ribbon.

Hope this helps.

My hair doesn’t curl (the only it ever has was when they used a full can of hairspray for prom and it showed) so I pinned my hair up in a french twist for the wedding. I figured that everything was going to be stressful enough, why worry about something that rarely works to begin with?

Good luck!

ME ME ME!!!! My hair will not hold a curl. Even after cutting layers like my stylist suggested. I had to run in every 30 min and re-curl my hair at the wedding. I have to say though that even though my curls kept falling out, I wouldn’t have had my hair any other way and the loose curls turned out really pretty in pictures regardless!
