I’m wearing Vans *gasp* but I have severe back problems and don’t wanna spend my time at the reception either popping pain meds or sitting down. Comfy shoes for the win!!

I would much rather be comfortable and carefree on my day than worried about falling over or feeling like i need to sit down. If you want to wear flats, wear flats!

@EmieBee4:  Just wear flats! I actually wore a pair of shoes I’ve had for years! Due to some circumstances, I had to drastically cut my budget at the last minute. I figured I could save money by not buying new shoes. No one saw them.

my Fiance and I are both 6′ tall. There’s no way I’m wearing heels… I don’t want to look like a towering football player while standing next to him. I wear flats all the time!

Here are the ones I got for my wedding:

Want to wear flats? WEAR FLATS!

And don’t let anyone try to tell you that kitten heels are easy. I find them more difficult to walk in than higher heels because all of your weight is on your heel in kitten heels, and that’s all on such a tiny, tippy piece. At least in higher heels, you have more weight transfered to the ball of your foot.

I’m such a dork…

Wear the flats.  Know why? Because if you wear heels and get those photos of your shoes and look back at them a decade from now you’ll think to yourself, “I hated these shoes…why didn’t I just wear flats?”

I’m wearing flats. I want to be comfortable, and I want to dance all night. I’ve seen brides in everything from sky high heels to sneakers, it’s your day, wear what you want!

I’m taller than Fiance, so flats were a must. Here are mine:

I had a hard time choosing flats, too. A lot of them didn’t suit my tastes.

Another vote for flats here! Fiance is nearly a foot taller than me, so I’d still be short even in heels. Flats don’t hurt to wear. Laughing

@CanadianBride456:  I am the most comfortable in sneakers. I wore heels maybe twice in my life – I just can’t do them. When having to dress up for certain events, I will wear flats but even those make my feet hurt after a few hours. I told my Fiance (who loves the way heels look), that I will be wearing sneakers lol (I have seen some cute bridal looking ones) but he asked me not to while during the ceremony in the church. So, I figured since I can’t give him the heels – I can compromise and wear flats for the ceremony and pictures and if I feel like changing into sneakers at the reception, I will.

If you want to wear flats then you should!  I plan to wear heels for the ceremony and our first dance and that’s it.  I’ll be wearing TOMS most of the night.  I also only plan to do a couple pics in my heels.  I live in Canada and my wedding is the end of March… with the weather we’re having it’ll probably still be icy and snowy, alternatively, it’ll be muddy.  Neither is any good for walking in heels.

Go with what you’re comfortable in!  My girlfriend wore heels for her wedding but it was raining that day so all her pics were done in rain boots and they looked adorable!
