You still have time to find a dress! I wouldn’t buy one quite yet, unless you were 100% sure that’s what you wanted. As far as the color scheme, I was the exact same way. I found that when I chose one, I was just focused on that color combination and didn’t even think about any other options. I haven’t had my wedding yet, but so far, no regrets with anything. (Although, I did end up with 2 dresses…)

@jaglynn17: I was in the SAME boat as you and for the longest time was only certain about my venue and photographers. I would first say if you aren’t sure about vendors (florist, videography, etc) go to a local bridal show. It helps to have all those people in one room even if you don’t have interest in anyone there, at least you get your feet wet by talking to wedding vendors and getting information. I used Weddingwire.com alot to check the reviews on any vendor I was interested in. I booked one vendor at a time and dealt with each issue — if you look at it all at once I think it gets over whelming. Not all the decisions need to be made right away but certain things need to be settled because it sets a tone for everything else — like wedding colors.

The dress — its hard because there are SOOO many dresses out there. Chances of you seeing another one you like is pretty high if you keep looking at wedding dresses after you purchase yours. Dosen’t mean you made a mistake — just that like you can also like other things. I tend to think having alot of people with you tends to cloud up your mind….I went to a wedding dress shop alone the first time. I wanted to be alone with my own thoughts about what I liked before I had opinions of everyone else. When I made my final decision, my family was present.

Good luck and relax! I found out it doesn’t have to be half as stressful as been told to me.

Do you have a favorite color? I went with mine which is blue…accent colors will be ivory, and plumb. Blue is going to be the main focus. If you don’t have a favorite color then just looking at wedding sites and idea is your best bet. Something will hit you! I stuggled with knowing my favorite color is blue but I love the feel of a autumn — however none of my favorite colors are in that scheme…red, oranges, and brown. I’m glad I went with my favorite and stuck to darker shades to compliment the season.

This is totally normal, even brides who have had their wedding planned for years can look back and wish they had something different.  Just go with your gut, if you are stressing then the choices are probably not right.  You already made the hardest decision choosing the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, the rest is just details.

I would say -take your time!  You don’t have to rush.  I know how you feel.  It is so hard to decide.  Try to do what is right for you, I found it impossible to please others when I was trying to!

oh heck, I’m just over two months out and I really don’t have a color scheme yet either.

I let my bridesmaids pick their own color of dresses (they went with navy) and I looked at flowers in season where we’re getting married and found a lot of yellows and asked the florist to work with those, I guess by default those are our colors, haha.

I’m pretty sure our venue can work with that for linens and we’re not doing anything else too matchy-matchy. 🙂

Don’t overthink this stuff – really, it’ll just stress you out!
