Okay here’s the deal with me…I can’t help but change my mind on our favors! I’m sure I’m not the only bride but it’s getting down to the crunch time and I’m so confused on what to do, it’s driving myself and especially Fiance absolutly batty.
The other problem is, I’m really picky on what we’re going to do. We are having our wedding outside on my parent’s acerage during the heat of the summer so we really don’t want something cold like ice cream (don’t have the means to serve it) or melt like chocolate. But we want edible so people can have it while we are out getting photos done (and maybe a little filling?). I also want to DIY it to save money and hopefully do it a few days before and maybe even freeze it.
We came down to a few choices. Mini 3 bite pies – 2 each…perfect but will take a lot of time to make, Little jars of jam…hard to get enough fruit here for that time of year, and Cookies…great as well but again will take a lot of time.
I’m really hoping to figure this out tonight and put my foot down because if I’m planning on making these I need to do some practice runs ASAP. UGH!
Anyways I’m sorry for the rant! I need major help though and a good slap in the face! So should I go with one of those choices? If so which one? And if you have any other ideas, ANYTHING, please tell me!!
Thank you so much everyone!

Hmm, I would think the cookies would be good. The jam is really cute, but guests probably won’t be eating it at the wedding :).

Why not Caramels? There is a great place on etsy called the Caramel Jar and I ordered from them for our family easter celebration – they were AMAZING and delicious.
If not, I would go with the cookies. Goooood Luck!

POPCORN! Filling, wont melt, can be made in advance… And who doesnt love popcorn??

I’ll also add that I was thinking of doing a little S’more’s kit (Graham crackers, Marshmellow, and chocolate) or caramel apples but again I’m kinda worried about the melting issue.
Our wedding is a country theme some I’m wanting to find something that can go with it 🙂

If you want them to eat the favor while you do photos, pie, and jam won’t work.
You live on the Island. Have you thought about little bags of smoked salmon- candied salmon? It needs no refrigeration and is a savoury snack that would go well with a beer on a hot day.
You could get your Fiance and his buddies to smoke your own salmon if they are into that, or at least catch the fish and have it smoked for you to help reduce the cost. Coho salmon are nice smoked and the season starts in June and July.

Love your ideas. I am thinking about either making cookies or these pie pops. They are actually quite easy to make, just look them up online. And they are super cute!

What about brownies?? Easy, chocolate, and fast to make? They won’t melt unless you frost them.
