I live in west tennessee and we have had this weather (tornado warnings etc) for the past 3 days. It has been hard to get much sleep. Luckly not much damage done. Just mainly downed trees and flooding. Hope ur night gets better.

The same storm system passed through us all day today and had one helluva super cell come through last night with multiple tornadoes.

I would just take the necessary precautions. Is anyone with you tonight?

I hope it will get better! I am from the south and am familar with tornados. I am currently in Japan. Can you believe we had one yesterday? It caught us off guard because we don’t have them. It did a little damage too.

I used to sleep in the closet or the bathroom with my Mom back home when I was growing up. Its because its the safest place in the house. Grab your flashlight and a few items and head to the bathroom or closet and have a good night.

Central Pennsylvania here/ an hour north where FI’s family lives and an hour south where my family lives have all been under tornado warnings since 6pm off and on. It’s all over the news… they keep mentioning my mom’s town which isn’t even a mile wide as a potential direct hit area that should seek other shelter (she lives in a mobile home- and won’t go stay at my grandmothers)! They have mentioned FI’s families town multiple times too and they were in the darkest area on the map… I hope everything calms down soon.

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by these storms. They are really bad. I really hope they let up soon. My Mother-In-Law was supposed to have surgery today, but her surgeon’s house got hit by lightning, so they had to delay the surgery. No one was hurt, but it is pretty bad. This happened in Alabama.

We had a few tornados last summer and it was scary as hell. I don’t know how some of you live with that sort of weather regularly! Can you sleep somewhere other than the attic tonight? Do you have a basement or somewhere a bit more safe you can bunk down in for the time being? Stay safe! Remember flashlights, battery operated radio, and some water and snacks!

I’ve lived in Southern Ohio my whole life and I STILL don’t deal well with the threat of a tornado so I feel your pain. It will probably be heading our way soon. X__X

I’m not sure how we’ve avoided them tonight, but we’ve had our share!  Our bedroom is also in the former attic so I understand.  The other night during a warning the Fiance was asking if we really had to go the to basement, haha.  We have a finished basement with two couches, TV, whatever else so yes. I said we had to go to the basement.

We had a tornado warning last week. I moved to Oklahoma last year and this is my first tornado season. I heard the sirens for the first time in my life. I was so scared! I prayed until the storm passed.

I haven’t heard of any touching down and it’s clear here for now but sever thunderstorms are all over the weather so who knows. I just wish my mother would have let me pick up my sister and brother =/

I found 1 video… but it’s 2 hours from where I live… looks like it got pretty bad. We just stayed inside to be safe (tonados aren’t super common here but we get them once in a while)
