I love it for outside, but I wouldn’t wear it for the ceremony. Remember, people will be seeing your backside mostly during the ceremony, the cape doesn’t add anything to that view (based on the mirror in the second picture). It may also look funny with a veil.

I would wear it for a church ceremony, but not for an alternate location ceremony!

I LOVE IT! It’s so unique and delicate and wonderful. It’s very classic and modern all at once. Please wear it!

Why would you only wear it for pictures?

My thinking is that your wedding photos will be your only reminder of the big day when your memory fades.  So, your pictures should reflect how you looked on that day.  I think the capelet is really pretty and looks great on you.  If you want to wear it for the ceremony and some pictures, that makes sense to me.  But if you’re only going to whip it out for pictures and not wear it at the ceremony or reception, that just sounds odd to me.

For example, I wore a veil during the ceremony and a jeweled headpiece for the reception.  I made sure to take the veil off for some of the photos and switch to the headpiece.  So even though my outfit changed a little, I have both captured in the photos and will remember both.
