I live on Cape Cod and while I had a bunch of ideas on where I would like to get married, I keep getting turned down for one reason or another. (too many people, we’ll ruin the landscaping etc) My ceremony will be a simple, relatively quick one with a Justice of the Peace and around 100 people. I’m looking for any ideas in the Mid Cape area that aren’t the beach. Waterview would be great but not right on the beach. I’m thinking like a pretty grassy area somewhere that has the room and the parking. Any thoughts???

@Tifsy: I moved this to the local cape cod boards for you hoping that someone there can help you out! 🙂 Good luck!

Harbor Point in Barnstable is close to the beach but not directly on it. You can see the beach on their deck from far away. The Cape Codder in Hyannis has tons of parking and big rooms; and the Dan’l Webster in Sandwich is cozy with its tavern and inn (also has parking), however those places don’t have a waterview at all. Same with Heritage Museum and Gardens in Sandwich.

I’m also looking for a ceremony site on the cape. There are many reception options but most of them don’t have a good and pretty indoor space for a ceremony. We’re planning to get married in the off season so outdoors is not an option. Does anyone know of any places besides a church? I’m having a small wedding so I really didn’t want to get married in a big church. Maybe a chapel or a more untranditional area like a small schoolhouse?
