@CapeMayBride921:  What a great place to get married.  I don’t really go to Cape May often or know much about it, but I’m sure you’ll be able to find a nice bed and breakfast!  They’re pretty known for those.  I would do research though and price out houses vs B&Bs.  People will still be going to the shore around that time.  Good luck!

I was married in Cape May this past October. September is still a pretty busy month in Cape May. Is there a parking lot available for the Yacht Club? If not, the meters are still valid until October.

House rentals are great – especially in the off-season and if you have a large party that is willing to rent. For catering: Execute Catering (609.412.4275) or Washington Inn cater events.

A trolley is the way to go for transportation – but use the MAC Center Trolleys which are a TON cheaper than Great American Trolley Company.

My flowers were from Cape Winds – gorgeous and pretty reasonable prices.

Do you have a photographer yet?

We were married at Hotel Alcott on October 21st so we were technically the “off-season”.

Hello, Gorgeous Photography and RHM Photography are two of my favorite “shore” photographers. I didnt end up using either, but really wish I had!

As far as DJ, we ended up using DJ Light & Sounds because of the affordability and all of the options they allowed us to choose. A lot of DJs set up “showcases” where you can go and listen to them present over a mock wedding. Check out the companies that you like and see if they offer this. It was great to hear what our dj would “sound” like on day of 🙂

@CapeMayBride921:  I am getting married at the Yacht Club this year….very excited–it is a great venue.  For parking–there is the grass lot across the street that the Club uses for events during the summer.  That may be an option.

Tina Markoe is a great photographer and so is RHM–both great!

I booked a trolley to get the bridal party to pics, etc, but reserved a bus for the late night rounds to the hotels–it ended up being cheaper than renting the trolley all night nad we could shuttle more in the bus at one time(and at night, noone is really looking at how it looks).

i am having a huge problem finding reasonable tent rentals for the ceremony in case it rains—are you having your ceremony there and have you looked at tent rentals?

@CapeMayBride921:  We’re getting married a bit north, in Cape May Court House, reception at Abbie Holmes. RHM is really great so far. Ryan really goes out of his way to make you happy, and our engagement pictures came out great.

The house rental thing can be good. Only thing is that the rentals go from Saturday to Saturday. It’s good if your family wants to make a vacation out of it. FI’s family is renting a house in Avalon for 2 weeks to cover that issue. If you want the rental contact, let me know.
