Yes I agree with MissMBear, I can’t do pastel yellow either, but I will rock a bright festive yellow in a heart beat, because it doesn’t blend in with my skin. I am caramel as well so pastels and light yellows look washed out on myself and some of my other friends who have the same complexsion. But the nice bright yellows I think look gorgeous on our skin tones and the same with the brighter pinks

So glad I found this post. My brown skinned BMs are somewhat nervous but I’m sure its going to look fab. Its a fall wedding so I’m going for more vintage, deep shades with a mustard yellow. I’ve attached the color dress. If you have an other ideas on what I should do with this color that I am in love with and the peacock feather I’ve adopted lol. please help!

If you are stil loking for some yello inspiration Banana Republic had an amazing yellow color for some summer dresses. I’m not sure what the selection is like now but it wa more ofa bright lemon yellow which would lok good on anyone who is not blonde.

I have brown skin with golden undertones and I absolutely love wearing yellow.  The mustard tones and almost jewel tones are my favorite… I would try a google search for mustard yellow dresses.  You may be surprised at what pops up.
