LondonAutumn:  Wow your ring is gorgeous! What is the cut of the center stone? Can I ask where you got it? My husband bought a beautiful 1ct princess cut for me, but didn’t get my input at all before-hand. It’s a lovely ring, but I’m not a huge fan of the setting or the cut, and I would love to change it to something more like yours one day!

meninblack:  Yes, this makes sense. But the reverse is also true: pretty much anything under 1.5 looks dinky on my hand. And that includes my very much loved .90 that is set in my anniversary ring. *sadness* Not that it keeps me from wearing stones under 1.5 or loving them … but sometimes I get the sinking feeling that people think it looks ridiculous. I don’t generally care that much what people think, but it sometimes sneaks up on me in my weak or less-than-confident moments. I’ve never thought this was a fault of my jewelry or that my stones were too small. On the contrary, I’ve always thought my fingers were too large — lol!

I have a good friend who has the tiniest fingers. I swear she wears like a 2.5 or 3. Even though it seems like most of the ladies posting here on the ring boards have really small ring sizes, I’ve never met anyone else in real life with such a tiny size. Her ring is super gorgeous and looks huge on her. I always thought it was at least a carat but probably more. I was shocked when she told me it was around .30. Because it really looks like a carat or more on her finger!

In real life, I don’t feel self conscious about my hands or my finger size. But I do feel that way on the Bee. I’ve told myself to suck it up and get over it, which is why I post hand shots — you know, kind of a way to get over my own insecurities. But I still feel that uncomfortable twist in my gut when I see pictures of my “large” (because large is all relative, but can’t think of another descriptor) fingers. *sigh*

Mine is a 1.36 ct AG on my 5.25 finger:

Also, my friend who has a similar ring size but much smaller hands tried it on this past weekend and it looks so much bigger on her teeny hands
