We are having a similar issues, I just feel weird about the birdcage thing, like all the cards are just out there in the open….

We are using a birdcage we got at Homegoods and spray painted. However, you can design a stack of boxes all decorated, or maybe do a chest? Some friends of mine have done baskets, gardening carts, vases, ect.

Do you have a theme or a color scheme? What is the setting for your reception?

We made ours ourselves. We got two circle boxes and some fabric. The entire things cost us like, $20 to make and about 2 hours or work but totally worth it!

We are using a vintage case (not sure what these type of cases were originally used for).  We found ours at an antique fair and paid $20.  There were tons of them, so should be easy to find if you’re interested.

@Magsalot: Like the birdcage idea.

We thought of getting one of these but it’s very expensive

We’re on the hunt for a vintage mailbox – right now all I’ve run into are either too small or too expensive. Good thing my mom owns an antique store – I have her on the lookout for one! 🙂

We also did a bird cage. I got it at Ross, very cheap.

@daisyelyse I totally just went onto etsy and bought that!  I was looking for something that we could save the cards in after the wedding as a keepsake…What about looking at homegoods or one of those places for a decorative box with a lid?  Keep it simple…
