I like the cardbox. I think it is very well done- simple and elegant.

I like the cardbox!  Have you considered making your own or looking at Craigslist to get one for cheaper?

Only because you said formal wedding, I chose the card box you posted.  However, I am biased towards the birdcage, becuase Im having one.

formal wedding = cardbox. the birdcage looks a little ‘rustic’ or ‘shabby chic’ to me.

Card box. It hides what’s in there and I think that is classier.

I like the cardbox and you could make one yourself for next to nothing! =D

Card box! but that’s mainly because bird cages used for cards have always confused me.

Bird cage with some decorations added.

I am also having a formal wedding and made my own birdcage. You’d be amazed at just how crafty you can be once you get started….I never thought I could be a DIY bride.

Out of the two you posted I like the bird cage. A bird cage like the one Treejewel19 posted would be wonderful too. The card box is pretty, but I feel like the cages add a little bit more of a romantic feel. If you have anybody you think might try to steal cards then go for the card box. I haven’t heard of too many people having that problem though.

@Miss Care Bear:  The bird cage I bought was brown and orange with hints of white (not sure if it was by accident or what). We painted it white, added the flowers and the sign.

Here is a photo from the wedding (not the best but it is all I have). People loooooved it.

PS I am selling it if anyone is interested.
