Definitely have something, just in case. People will probably bring something even if you tell them not to.

I think it’s better to be safe than sorry. Even if you don’t want gifts, I think most people will at least get you a card.

I would have one.  They may want to give you a card, even if there isn’t a gift in it.

I think I’d bring a box just in case.

I bet many people will give a gift regardless. I think most people who are going to give a gift will mail one, and people who are going to bring one will likely bring money so bring one just in case!

If I were a guest, I’d wait to give you the gift (money or not!) back at home, not in another country! I wouldn’t bring a box because it seems kind of presumptious and people like me, who’d wait feel bad suddenly. Take the card by hand and thank them, but the whole box is probably too much.

How many people are coming?! We’re doing a destination wedding in 2 weeks and have not planned for this at all! Haha – I hope it’s a non-issue and that they will wait for our home town reception?

I don’t think it would offend, but do you want to travel to Mexico with that? UGH. The less stuff you’re lugging the better in my opinion. I’ve never seen any at the destination weddings I’ve gone to.

Guests will either give you the cards directly or the hotel can provide you with a box or table for gifts.  I wouldn’t be bothered bringing a fancy box down.

If guests are being most polite they wouldn’t burden you with a gift being brought to the wedding.  They would send it to your place ahead of schedule or after the wedding.
