We found out two weeks ago that my future sister in law is pregnant. So very exicited and can’t wait! 😀 I want to get her a care package. Was hoping for other members had any other suggestions..
So far, we’ve got.
– Book full of babysitting vouchers
– Her favourite chocolate
– A bell… so she can get her Husbands attention for teas/food/slippers! Anything really. Wanted to put something silly in it.
We haven’t gotten very far :/ I’m new to this whole baby thing, so I’m learning what you ladies need/want! A friend mentioned some form of oil, coconut? Was good for your skin while pregnant. I don’t want any baby stuff for her. I’ll get that for her in the next few months. Just want stuff for her 🙂
Any help would be wonderful! I’d love to get it together in the next week or two. So exicited to be an Aunty 😀
Edit- I’m a bit dumb. Thought this was posted in the preg boards :/ Oops!

Well I’m sure you guys will get her stuff on her Baby Shower later on, so right now I would focus the gifts on her like you’ve been doing.
The cocoa butter for stretch marks is good, how about a magazine subscription for pregnant women?

How about candied ginger or peppermint tea to help with morning sickness? I know they also have something called like, Preggo Pops or something – lollipops for morning sickness. (I’ve never been pregnant so I don’t know if they work! But this is the stuff we brought my mom when she was in the hospital after surgery and nauseous from the pain meds… I’m guessing morning sickness is similar!)
Maybe a copy of What to Expect When You’re Expecting?

A subscription to a parenting magazine, the “girlfriend’s guide to pregnancy” book (heard this one is really good!), gift card towards maternity photos?

We bought my sister-in-law Mama Mio cream, which is like a fancier version of cocoa butter to rub on your belly for stretch marks. I like that you are doign stuff for HER, not the baby. Maybe a really nice hand cream as well, the kind of thing you love but never want to spend the money to buy for yourself.

You are such a SIL. Here are some ideas:
Restaurant gift certificates to local takeout places
Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy
Maternity Store Gift Certificate or Clothing
Sweat pants of PJ’s- Maternity Size

If you know what she is craving, getting her some of that would be great! I ate boxes of cereal when I was pregnant. One day my SIL dropped by with a box, it was great.

Thank you! 🙂 I’m replying on my iPhone, I have troubles @ members.
We didn’t even think about tea, mags or pjs etc. She has been craving rice and it didn’t even click till it was mentioned. So thank you everyone. My partner told his mum and she loved the idea, we are all going to work on it. Planning on grabbing bits today, but ran out or time :/
