- Wedding: March 2013
I’ve only been with the company I currently work with for a year and I am debating how long I should stay. I think for now, I’m stuck and need to stay at least through the Wedding, Honeymoon and home buying process (for job stability), which I can do.
My dilemma is that I work for a small software company in a niche industry and it’s a PARTIAL work-from-home position. Meaning, I could spend two weeks working from home and two weeks on-site at a client (some months it’s one month working from home and one month on-site). I realize how convenient this can be and I don’t want to look a gift horse in the mouth, but I’m sort of looking for a company I can stay with for a very long time before I get ready to have kids. The company I’m with now has had some growing pains over the past couple of years and I don’t think they’re in any immediate trouble, but I’m skeptical of its longevity over the long haul.
Has anyone been in this sort of position before? Any advice?
