I’m a math teacher considering a career change. I love math and want to have a career that number crunches and deals with numbers. I come across an actuary and a financial analysis. What other careers can I look into??

@karmalkween: accountants are always needed, especially cpas. Those require special licenses and work longer hours during tax season, so I’m not sure how you’d feel about that. Accountants are needed at every level of business, whereas financial analysts are typically seen in mid size and larger firms. Bookkeepers are seen in small and mid size companies, and full charge bookkeepers are those who process payroll. Payroll administrators are always in need because it is a special skill set and highly valued because you are obviously processing payroll.
Pm if you have questions. I can go on and on. Haha

I agree that accountant is probably your best bet. You could do auditing instead of tax accounting and that would make your busy times at different times of the year. I used to work at a CPA’s office and I did auditing for small companies and taxes so my busy time was from January 1 to April 15.
