I say go for it 🙂  You can never have enough dessert.

Hmmm… that’s alot of sugar, but I like the options. Let’s face it, candy apples and candy can never go wrong! That being said, if you’re worried about the cost, you can probably get rid of one or the other and no one will notice.

Keep in mind that they are both expensive on their own. Some people can’t get enough of sugar and others won’t touch it. Whether it’s too much or not depends on what are able and willing to spend. But if you want it, then go for it.

I love both ideas but I agree that it is a rather pricey option to have both, unless the candy apples are homemade?  Are you in a region of the country where assigned seating is the norm?  If so, you can always use the candied apples as a place setting marker… something like this but with the person’s name and seat on it. btw walmart has a six pack of these around the fall time for like 4 or 5 bucks… if you had time you could always take them out and put them in cellophane yourself.  that would save you nearly 3 bucks per apple!! (i’ve ALWAYS loved the idea of candied/caramel apples)

Caramel apples are not that expensive, we ordered them for our favors from Happy Apples for around $1 apiece.  They come in a plastic casing, apparently, so we’ll have to take them out and put them in cellophane (they will sell you cellophane bags in the correct size).  I don’t think I could have even DIY’d them for this price.  I am the DIY queen but this was too good to pass up. 🙂

It’s just my opinion, but I think that having wedding cake AND eating candy apples is enough sugar for one night.

You can have too much of a good thing..especially if you’ve been treated to a great dinner or buffet courtesy of a wonderful bride and groom and your tummy  is almost full to begin with!

I would go with just the candy apples plainly because of bellenga’s argument.

I personally don’t think its too much, but it does help that we are going to have a few kids at our wedding. (I plan to have the same things)

Happy Apples maybe what I was speaking of earlier with the six pack.  That is definitely an awesome thing to know!!!
