Has anyone worn/bought a Carrafina wedding dress? http://www.carrafina.com/
One of the dresses I am lusting over is by Carrafina, and I am thinking it might be the one! But from what the salon and the designer’s website tell me, they are one of the design houses that is super protective of their work and don’t publish ads, catalogues, or even put pictures of their dresses on their website. Apparently this is all done to protect the designs from being knocked off, which I can understand, I’ve seen tons of Maggie knock-offs out there!
But I’m worried about is if I do buy this dress, I can’t even look at it on a picture of a model at all until it comes in! That really scares me! I am a really indecisive person and I feel like I NEED to see some type of picture of the dress! I even tried googling them, and only like 3 pictures of dresses come up, none of which is the one I am looking at.
So has anyone else bought a Carrafina gown? Do you have pictures of it? And how do you deal with the secrecy?!

@FutureMrsSitler:Maybe you could ask the store that you buy it from to let you take a picture after you buy it? I’ve been trying on gowns and stores have told me I could take a picture after purchase. It’s going to look better on you than a model, anyway! 🙂

This isn’t my wedding, but I wore this dress a couple of weeks ago in the one-shoulder design. Also this site has a couple of dresses under “private labe”:
I bought my Carrafina last minute after seeing it on stylemepretty and knowing it was the one, so I purchased a sample and took it home with me. It was perfect! I know it is very hard to find any images online. Hope this helps!

@katherineallison: Thanks for the info. I wound up finding a different dress that topped this one in the end.
And I am glad, because to be 100% honest I think the salon that had the “Carrafina” dresses was not being honest. I have since seen at least 3 dresses they told me were Carrafina on Allure’s website and ads. Like the EXACT same dress. So either Allure steals all their designs within weeks of brand new Carrafina dresses, and is able to have the ad campaign launched immediately, OR this salon was trying to jack up the price by saying they were Carrafina dresses.
Some bridal salons are such a scam!

@ FutureMrsSitler: My dress is a Carrafina . It is a dream! I’m not sure where you are from, but I bought the dress from a friend of a friends bridal shop who is actually childhood friends with the founder of Carrafina. She carries the entire line (plus many others) and is very reasonable priced, honest, and super friendly/helpful. They are located in Gainsville, VA (Below is the link). The owners name is Maureen and if this is no where near where you live, I am sure she would be happy to suggest a reputable salon that carries Carrafina dresses, near you.
Hope this helps!!!!
