Hi Bees – anyone flown JetBlue lately with a wedding dress in tow? Just wondering how they are about it. I read some other posts that supposedly they don’t have closets on board to hang it? Is this true? Any advice about flying with a wedding dress?

JetBlue has 4 different aircraft types and at least 2 of those do not have closets. So whether or not there is a closet on your plane is going to be hit or miss. You may want to take the dress to a local dry cleaner who specializes in wedding dress preservation, and ask them to pack it for airplane travel. Usually that would be in a long-and-flat bag that folds in on itself. Let everyone put their suitcases into the overhead bin and lay the dress bag across the top of the suitcases.

My SIL had to buy an extra ticket for her dress. Not sure how she hung it.

just back from my wedding and had no issues there was no closet for me to hangit in. They let me board early and I put it in the overhead bin in the dress bag that it came with jetBluewas great – on the way back agent learned we had just gotten married and she upgraded us.
