My favor boxes are shaped like mini tree stumps. All stumps are unique to one another. No one will have the same thing. My fiance and I are hand carving hearts & initials into them – and adding any additional flair as we see fit. It’s a burden of love. Our hands are sooooo cramped.
I was wondering, are the boxes enough? Or should something be put in them?
Each one is approx 2″ in diameter and about 1″ storing depth.

I couldnt think of anything that would fit but they are soo cute where did you get them by the way?

@luvmama12: I got the boxes in Thailand. They are about 75 cents a piece.
My mother suggested a candle. However, it’s wood… so fire probably isn’t the best thing. Then potpurri was an idea. But I don’t know how men feel about that. If I left it empty, then it could function as a trinket box. Then again, I don’t want people opening it to expect something and then be let down. lol maybe i’m overthinking.

Maybe something edible like candy.. hersheys kisses or personalized m&ms.

Oh yea! Something edible. Derrrr. Thanks luvmama12 !
I swear my brain turns to mush.
I wonder if I can fit a lintz in there. If it doesn’t I can just eat it.

You could put some small peices of candy inside. Check out http://www.candywharehouse.com for affordable candy in bulk!
Are you carving your initials or guests initials? It’s really cute but I dont know if I would want something with someone elses initials on it.

Those boxes are so cute. If they weren’t all the way from Thailand then I’d want to get them too! I think 1-2 Ferrerro Rochers would be good to put in them.
Maybe hand carve Love or the heart and arrow on the side of the boxes and your initials on the bottom of the box so that people will want to use them for their own personal use in homes for rings or jewelry or whatever.

You could include this poem on a scroll pf paper:
This is a very special gift
That you can never see
The reason it’s so special is
It’s just for you from me.(we)
Whenever you are lonely
Or are ever feeling blue
You only have to hold this gift
And know I’m(we’re) hugging you.
You never can unwrap it
Please leave the ribbon tied
Just hold the box close to your heart
It’s filled with hugs inside.
If you are not too hung up on grammar, you could make the changes I placed in parentheses.
Then sign it from the two of you.

@dotdotdoodlebot: I agree that, while it’s super adorable, I wouldn’t take one if it had your initials on it. (however if it had my own, I’d have it in a heartbeat!)

You could put a flower in each one, with the stem cut very short… or just flower petals!

how about a seed packet? you might include something like…”plant some love and watch it grow” ….errr something….

aw crap. I already carved most of the boxes with our initals C + L
One of them says Chris loves Lynn with a little <3 after.
This idea stemmed from coming across a tree where someone has already carved their initials to show off their love. I thought it was really sweet and romantic. I didn’t think to carve guest initials in them because some would be “X + ?” in a heart?
It’s someone elses’ initials because you were a guest at their wedding. right? aw bummer…
I tried putting a ferrero rocher in there. It doesn’t fit. double bummer!
I got to eat that rocher so that last bummer cancels out.

That is adorable!!! I love them! What about conversation hearts or some kind of candy from your childhood? When I see carved trees like that I think of fun cute young kind of love you know, so an old school candy would be really suiting!

@novogirl: My family goes to Thailand every year. It’s really easy for me to get a hold of these. They can come blank or with a painted design on them, like this one.
Or whatever design you want. PM me if you are interested. My father is in Thailand right now and can get an order, any size, by July.
