@autumnWren:  Thank you! You’ve made me feel much better already 🙂

I think it’s hard to remember the dress exactly in between trying the shop one on and trying your own on and I’m a worrier so if there is something to worry about, I’ll find it! I’m so excited to see MY dress. It should arrive in the shop in January so I’ll post a pic.

And any other 1827 brides, please do give any other advice you can think of for this dress, or any changes you made. I have only just found out by searching another thread that I could have ordered it with a higher back! Oh well, it will still be beautiful I’m sure.

I want to re-open this thread! I am trying on some Casablancas next week and would like to have an idea of which styles I like before I go.

I would be thrilled for any pics of Casablancas, especially gals size 2-4-6; it would help me out so much! Thank you!

@abg0813:  you look gorgeous!! Did you like the corset back? And did you wear an underskirt to hold the shape/puff it out a bit more? Looks so gorgeous! Just one more month until mine arrives in the shop 🙂

To all Casablanca 1827 brides! I need your help.

I have ordered my dress and it is due in in February. I have ordered it in WHITE. The problem that I have is that my flower girls dresses are being made and the dress maker has asked for the exact colour white that the dress is. My bridal shop can’t tell me, she just said that white is white, whereas the dressmaker said there are different shades of white. Can anyone that has bought the Casablanca 1827 dress in white help me out?

@hannahzoe83:  It’s very white. Here it is with a white veil and Men’s Wearhouse verson of white. It is not off-white in any way.

To answer other questions, I did wear it with a 1 tier slip that the dress store suggested. I really didn’t want to spend the money, but it just looked so much better. I was not comfortable not wearing a bra – but that’s a very personal issue. I never go out without a bra. I had the seamstress sew snaps onto the dress and bra so it stayed in place. I wore a longline bra.

Let me know if you have any other questions! 🙂

@koi424:  Thank you so much for the reply. You look so beautiful! I think I will ask about having an extra layer or two. My dress should be arriving in a couple of weeks. I’m so excited to see it! Sewing snaps in is such a clever idea and one I’ll definitely ask about.
