I also purchased the Casablanca 1955.  I absolutely love it.  I bought white and it really sparkles.  I ordered it at the end of January and they told me 6 months.

I just orderd a Casablanca 1914 two days ago!  I’m so super excited… it’s absolutely beautiful! Plus I’m kind of tall (5’8) and wearing some 4 inch heels, so it’s pretty cool they make a custom length since the size 12 sample they had was a perfect length but crazy huge on my skinny bootay.  I also decided to continue the lace and beading all the way up to the top instead of the plain ruching, which was another $100.  I paid $1000 total which isn’t bad for basically a custom dress 🙂  I love Casablanca, the 3 dresses I was in love with were all from them! Beautiful dresses, ladies!

Casablanca B002 is a contendor right now for me. Good to hear that on average it is taking four months to arrive.
Do you girls really think there is a different in pricing depending on where in the country you are?
Do you think I would be able to call a salon in another state and order it from them to ship to my home???
Anything to save $$$!!!

I’ve been looking at preowned dress sites and so far have only found a handful of B002 and none in my size.

I oreder mine in the Ivory color/ it has swarvoski crystals and beading all over it, I love it, it supposed to be back by April, I pray it’s earlier, although I waited a long time to order because I was torn between dresses!  Anyway, I’m a street size 12 and ordered a size 16 dress!

@Smitha5 – that was my 2nd choice dress.  I love her!!! It makes me a little sad 🙁  I LOVE the dress I ended up with but it was such a hard choice saying goodbye to all that beautiful lace and beads.  Enjoy her for me!  I’m sure you’ll look amazing.

First of all, you ladies chose gorgeous dresses. I love them ALL!

I tried on 1988 today. I’m a street size 18. The sample was only a 14, but it fit well enough that I got a pretty good idea of what it would look like in my size. Sadly, I wasn’t allowed to take pics, which is a HUGE problem given that my mom, sister, and BFF live in NJ, NY, and OR, respectively. But I digress….

1988 is currently one of my top 2-3 choices. However, I’m very disappointed that it doesn’t have a corset back, and I prefer more of a sweetheart neckline. I know both are options with Casablancas — yay!!! But I was hoping one of you could give me an idea of what those alterations might run.

Thanks!

I’m a Casablanca Bride! I actually had a dress from a very rare designer picked out (Envogue Bridal), but tried on this one on a whim and fell in love! I ended up getting it for $1,100 with free alterations with the bridal shop I got it from. I ordered it in early January and it should be here by early May, which is driving me crazy, I want it NOW! But, I am wearing a cathedral length veil for the ceremony and then just a white silk flower in my hair for the reception. SO excited!

It’s Casablanca 1932

Hi @pinkkroker – you can get your dress changed to add a corset back and change the neckline and add or remove beading.  The salon can do that when they order from the company.

So. I ordered my dress today! Yippee!!!

I had to get it custom because my boobs are so small! Hahaha. Anyway, worth it to me for a “perfect” fit.

How long did it take your custom Casablanca to come in? They said it can take custom up to 5 months. But she will call me on Wednesday at the latest to let me know if I need to rush it after she hears back from the factory.

SO excited!!!

I just ordered Casablanca dress #1959 today!!  I love it!  Its nothing i had origanally liked, but feel in love when i tried it on.  Im starting to second guess the size they suggested for me though.  They ordered me a 0 and im hoping that when i get it in it wont be too tight.  I was thinking at least a 2.  They pretty much just looked at me and went from the dress size that i had on (size 8) to decide what size.  Im sure they know what they are doing and do this all the time so hopefully they are right about the size.

@ vintagebutterfly,

They didn’t measure you??

I’m typically a size 2-4 in regular clothing but I was actually “technically” a size 6 in my hips and waist. But my boobs were a size 2 Casablanca. hehe. Which is why they suggested custom because the differential was 2 sizes!
Mine was a couture and if I remembered correctly the smallest size was a 2. But I can be wrong.
