I haven’t been to a wedding with a cash bar before…but as a kind note, I can tell you that in the weddings I’ve gone to where there wasn’t alcohol served, I would have gladly paid to get drinks. In My Humble Opinion a cash bar is better than no bar 🙂

I do agree that it is nice to let your guests know ahead of time so that they can make sure to bring cash with them.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a cash bar. 90% of the wedding I’ve been to have had a cash bar. Open bars are the exception around here.

I would mention it on the invite, at the bottom or on the directions maybe. We had cash bar too and it turned out fine:)

I think we had it written on the directions card of our invite. I would just put it at the bottom though if you don’t have a directions card in the invite. we just said cash bar will be available.

I’m so happy for this post, I’ve been stressing about this for weeks. Fiance doesn’t want alcohol at the wedding period but I think it should at least be an option for those that do, like the social drinkers.

Thank you ladies!

I don’t see anything wrong with a cash bar and I’d write it on whatever insert you include in the invitation.
