I’m trying to decide between a wedding (with 2 guest) on Catalina Island off of California or 9 am wedding on Miami Beach, Fl. My concern with Miami is that it will be crowded and my concern with Catalina Island is that Buena Vista Point where I want to get married has limited amount of grass (dirt) and the area has a gate next to it. Buena Vista Point is up on a cliff and over looks the ocean, sailboats and the Casino (mediterrean style building). Opinions please…………

I’ve been both places, though can’t say how well I know them for a wedding. In general, the areas have completely different feels. When I was at Catalina (for my honeymoon) it seemed really relaxed and laid back. The island is ridiculously beatiful! Miami beach is pretty, and definitely my favorite city by far. But it definitely has the city feel to it, busy, a lot going on, and kinda dirty.
It also depends on time of year. Florida is warmer, but gets really hot and humid and rainy between May and November. California is warm too, though not as warm as Florida, and no humidity, but it can be overcast May -June, so if you’re going then it won’t be as pretty outside.
My vote would probably go with Catalina, but its up to you.
