@Edube33:  I can’t comment on the food costs, but I went to a wedding there a few years back that was catered by Tastings and the food was very good. Hope someone can help re: the costs!

I emailed a few of those trying to get a rough idea of cost when I first started planning. Here’s the email quotes I got back. These were for a venue where they would have to have brought in a kitchen.

East Meets West, Starting at $130 pp

Boston Cafe: Very flexible and willing to work on budget, ranges listed were 12-26pp for cocktail hour ( mix of passed and stationary apps), 26-35 pp for 3 course dinner, 6.50pp plus acohol for bar costs. I can forward you the menu book they sent me if you’re interested, send me a PM.

Tastings: were slow to respond and never actually gave me a quote, but from others gathered that it would be in the $130 start range as well

I also got quoted 100-130 pp from Peppers catering. Aside from Boston Cafe, most of those places are more well known, higher end caterers so I would expect pricing to be similar across the board. Hope this helps!

@Jijitattoo:  For those looking for price information about Tastings: I was quoted $79 per person for a 5 hour buffet style wedding reception for 80 people. This included the following:

5 passed appetizer

stationary appetizer display items (another 5 options)

the dinner consists of salad, caprese, bread, chicken, beef tenderloin, vegetarian strudle, potatoes and summer grilled vegetable

platters of fresh fruit to go with the wedding cake (the cake is separate cost)

two vendor meals (photographer/DJ)

2 bartenders, 5 wait staff, 3 chefs and one event manager

all linens/china/glassware

massachusetts tax included

Extras I would have to pay outside of the $79/pp quote: the cake, the actual alcohol for the wedding, and chair/table rental if at a venue that requires it, gratuity

Hope this helps! I thought it was one of the cheaper catering options here. I send them an email and they responded to me 10 days later with the above quote, and a master list of all their menu options. I went to their Group Tasting (with over 100 people attending) in the fall which was helpful to see how they run a large event and whether the food quality held up in mass quantity. Haven’t had them for my wedding so I can’t speak for the actual event.
