I actually live in Southern Illinois, but we’re having a St. Louis wedding (I like to think of it as a destination for my Northern Illinois/Wisconsin/Minnesota family!).
I am moving onto my next step in my mental list of things to do. I was going to start researching catering in St. Louis. Any St. Louis bees out there who have any suggestions?
The venue we booked has a list of preferred caterers, and I am having trouble finding more than one or two reviews. Also, I’m sort of wondering about general costs of catering in this area. I’m not from this area, and am not really familiar with anything down here, so any help is appreciated!

I’m using Holly Berry Baking Co.
What I did was use the list of prefered vendors from my reception site. I figured those were the people my site had worked with and trusted. From there I just started calling and talking to people. I choose Holly Berry because they were very quick with response and gave my a super detailed break down of what everything is costing. They are also willing to help out with all my rentals. Which was one less thing I had to worry about. (I am also planning a wedding from a distance… Omaha, NE). Since picking them I had been thrilled every question and convern I have is followed up within 24 hours.
I felt the same way you did when I started, but calling a bunch of people is what helped me figure out what I needed/wanted in a caterer.
Good Luck finding someone you love!!

Hi! I haven’t found a caterer yet myself and havent looked too much, but my fiance’s brother got married about two years ago and they used Lukasek Catering. I have looked into them, and they are what I’m keeping in mind right now because they are very cheap. From what I hear from my fiance and his family, the food was also very, very good! But I haven’t tried it myself so I put that disclaimer there! I have think they have pretty good prices and tasted good. 🙂
