We used Occasions Chicago and LOVED them! So easy to work with and the food was great.

@quornball:

we went with a non profit- very good, locally sourced and gives back to the community (feeds homeless, soup kitchens etc) VERY great prices.

@quornball:  Contact [email protected].  They have been going through a lot of changes but have gotten things figured out now.

@quornball:

yes, they had some staffing and space issues (a/c breaking etc) but all is well. I go in this Saturday don’t panic!

@PugsandUnicorns:  i’m interested to know how the food was and your experience working with them. Are they a full service caterer that can also serve alcohol? Feel free to PM me to take the conversation offline – I would love to hear from you! Thanks!

@littlebunny:

I cannot say anything negative- firstly. We had apps for 60 guests, 3 per person, gone in 20 minutes- people are still talking about the variety of food.

Secondly, the salmon, brisket and lasagna also we have for 80 in case of any snaffus etc all gone including all our sides.

We had 2 slices of pie left from them out of 64 slices.

People have not said a single negative thing about the food- they caterered well, their staff was amazing- helped out on stuff they didn’t do like other parts of our dessert bar and we’re super punctional and not in the way.

3 people are using them from our wedding as a result. They are very price friendly as well. Very cost effective for the quality.

they do not do anything with alcohol- we went through carol’s staffing had a great bartender who was just there to pour drinks, make lame but funny jokes and he even ran out twice for more mixer. he cost 180 for the night, which seems high but considering with a keg of daisy cutter, rum punch and 16 bottles of wine our alcohol stayed around 600 dollars for 60 people. 10 a person is very reasonable.

let me know what other questions you may have!

@PugsandUnicorns:  Did you need to get the liquor license seperately?
