What’s your budget? If it’s low, definitely start looking out for sample sales because bridal FW should’ve just passed which makes me suspect that a lot of past season’s gowns will start going on sale soon.

just got previews of my bridal portraits, and I want to post them for you to see SO BADLY, because this model doesn’t do any justice for this dress. Since I’m afraid my Fiance will see them if I post them here, this is the best I can do. This dress is phenomenal. It is simple, but it looks incredible on. It has a chapel train and its $499! Davids Bridal V9745. My consultant pulled this for me, and I was not too excited about it, but then I put it on. Trust me, its amazing. If its too simple for you, I totally get that, but if you think you might like it even a little bit, you should go try it on. You won’t regret it!

I recommend checking out Allure, many styles have dramatic trains.

I second Allure! I think mine is a chapel train? I’m not quite sure. But I’m also pretty sure you can order versions with an extended train to make it a Cathedral train. My dress only retailed for $1350 too, not so bad. Allure is on the affordable side. I’ll attach a picture of my train, has buttons going all the way down the back.

Another thought is would you be satisfied with a royal/cathedral length veil? If you get something that almost looks like a continuation of the dress, it has a very similar effect.

Congrats on the Disney wedding! I actually work as a dress consultant in Orlando so I get alot of Disney brides πŸ˜€

I don’t know what your budget is but I think that is why the longer trains are scarce these days is they tend to jack up the price of the dress.

Some designers will do a pattern change, but it’s an extra fee on top of the dress. Also you could consider wearing a cathedral veil in place of the long train.

So here are some dresses with long trains or by designers who do pattern changes and you could modify…

Essense of Australia D1978 (this is the only dress in the shop I work at that has a cathedral train – very disney princess with the sparkle also available in white and ivory)

Stella York 6022 (looks to have a longer train)

katiebabyxo:  thanks!! And I totally understand. I was definitely set on some sort of long train because I’m getting married in an ornate Catholic Church instead of having the beach wedding I dreamed of as a kid. I figured if I’m getting married in a giant church I get the princess train and veil! Better believe I’m wearing a cathedral length veil with it haha

I think Wtoo and especially Casablanca would be great brands for you to look at for the customization options on the train. Casablanca has alot of traditional princess styles plus they have probably have the most customization options of an affordable brand.

My dress was the David’s Bridal T3299.  It had a really lovely train, though I guess it’s not cathedral length haha
