What music did you have play during your ceremony? We have an amazing local singer, and would like to meet with the priest about what is okay regarding song choice,, but in the meantime… please let me know what you picked for your ceremony?
what did you walk down the aisle to ect?
I would love to hear some different options..because I really have no idea what will be deemed acceptable.

- Wedding: April 2012 - St. Philip Catholic Church/Arcadia Brewing Co.
We had to use liturgical music, but that was the only requirement. Our church sent us a CD of popular choices to pick from. We used some from there but others were just favorites of ours. I can’t remember a lot of the names…. We are recessing to the Ode to Joy, Amazing Grace is our communtion song (it was my grandpa’s favorite) We are processing in to purely instramental pieces though. I don’t think you will have a problem bringing in a singer as long as the church oks what she sings.

I walked down the aisle to The King of Love My Shepherd Is.
ETA: I’m trying to remember what our communion hymn was. I can’t believe I can’t remember!!!!

our church provided a list of suggested religious music — lots of classical choices, which we love because the church has a gorgeous organ, but we weren’t allowed to use traditional wedding marches. Ended up with Trumpet Voluntary to process in, made sure to include Ave Maria, probably recessional to Ode to Joy.

It came back to me – our Communion song was “I Received the Living God, and My Heart is Full of Joy.”
