I would call the church and explain the situation and see what they say.  They might be more flexible than the forms suggest or they might be able to recommend someone for you.  My Fiance & I aren’t members of the parish where we’re marrying, either, and I just called there and talked to the priest.  I was afraid they wouldn’t marry us at all since we weren’t members there but there were no problems and they were actually very welcoming. It doesn’t hurt to ask.  Good luck! =)

I would ask, state that you taught at the school and attended the parish for X years and if it wasn’t for the military you would still be there.

Worst case scenario, San Diego is a military town, seek out the local Navy Catholic Chaplain.

Also, living together – while not ideal, is not something that can prevent the church from marrying you so you can at least relax on that! 🙂
