We are having a Catholic ceremony that starts at 3 in the afternoon and the reception starts at 6:30. After the ceremony, we are planning to have a receiving line outside the church then the wedding party jumps on the party bus to go around and take pictures. I guess my question is… for anyone who had a party bus or limo take them elsewhere for pics… did parents ride with you?? Or did you take pics with your parents at the church then again at the reception??
We are having a difficult time trying to figure out if they come everywhere with the wedding party. So many little details! Help! 🙂

We are doing the same thing. Parents are not coming on the bus (except for FI’s father because he is his best man). We are going to be drinking and partying so I thought it would be inappropriate for parents. So, we will do family pics at the church and wedding party pics wherever we decide to go. Hope this helps!

We didn’t do this, but in most of the weddings I have seen, parents did not ride on the bus. Plus, pictures with parents are typically more formal, which your ceremony will serve as a better photo backdrop.

I’ve been on several party buses for weddings, parents were never involved. All parent pictures happen at the church then bridal party pics are done around town.

It does help because it’s almost the exact conversation I had with Fiance the other day… LOL. We feel the same… that we might want to act a lil crazy and let loose and would feel awkward (well, more him than me). Any pics I’ve seen lately don’t have the parents in any other wedding party pictures other than the church and venue… so I figured that’s how most do it. Thanks!!
