I’m Lutheran so IDK if there is a specific Catholic thing here, but I can help with words. Are you having a mass? Maybe just write 2 p.m. nuptual mass for the time instead of “in the afternoon”

The honour of your presence is requested

at the Nuptial Mass uniting

John Smith

and Mary Adams

in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony

On Saturday, June second

or:

Along with their families

John Smith

and

Mary Adams

invite you to pray the Nuptial Mass

uniting them in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony

on Saturday, June second etc

I can see how option #2 would be a bit wordy. I would go with option #1 which is in the 3rd person and actually the more traditional way when the bride’s parents aren’t hosting.  (together with/along with their families is a more modern formulation)

Other possible ways, you could say they are invited to “hear the Nuptial Mass” uniting you in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony… hmmm I’m trying to think of other solutions
